Christopher Nkunku is one of several players still waiting to leave Chelsea in the remaining days of the summer transfer window.
Unfortunately, French attacker Christopher Nkunku has struggled to make the desired impact during his first two years at Stamford Bridge, so he’s been absent from Chelsea’s matchday squad at the start of the new season while his future is sorted.
Chelsea could be prepared to sell Nkunku for under £40m to help him find a new club this summer.
The 27-year-old attacker, who should be entering the prime years of his career, still has nearly four years left on his current deal with the Blues. Therefore, it would be best for all parties if a permanent transfer can be found.
Even though RB Leipzig stepped up their efforts to re-sign Nkunku fairly recently, a new suitor has emerged in the transfer race.

Christopher Nkunku close to agreement with AC Milan
According to Foot Mercato, Italian giants AC Milan have ‘almost agreed’ on the terms of a five-year contract with Chelsea’s Nkunku.
It is explained that the Serie A club will soon submit an opening bid worth between €30m (£26m) and €40m (£34m).
The report adds that Leipzig and Aston Villa are still in the race to sign Nkunku this summer. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich could yet reignite their interest after they failed with a loan offer with an option to buy.

Bayern have gone strong to try and sign Nkunku, but it sounds like they may need to offer something permanent to clinch the deal.

Christopher Nkunku still attracting top clubs
The fact that Nkunku has several European giants chasing after his signature is quite telling.
While his path at Chelsea has been somewhat blocked by teammate Cole Palmer, he remains a quality footballer with the talent to perform at the highest level.
Club Appearances Goals Assists
RB Leipzig 172 70 56
Paris Saint-Germain 78 11 4
Chelsea 62 18 5
We certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see him join Milan and be a major hit at the San Siro.
The current Milan squad already includes former Chelsea players Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Fikayo Tomori and Christian Pulisic, so will Nkunku become the latest to follow the same path?
