Everton could be about to make a clear statement of intent regarding Iliman Ndiaye.
The winger scored the first-ever competitive goal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the win over Brighton last weekend, after he also notched the final strike at Goodison Park last term.
Ndiaye drew plenty of praise at Everton for his performances in his debut campaign on Merseyside in 2024/25, and he has begun the new season in similarly impressive form.
The Senegal international is a key player for David Moyes, and the recent developments regarding his future will have provided some cause for concern for the Scot.

Everton to only contemplate Iliman Ndiaye sale for £100m
Everton knocked back approaches for Ndiaye from both Premier League and Serie A clubs last week.
The 25-year-old is viewed as a hugely important player on Merseyside, and the club’s stance on the interest in him has only served to further emphasise that.
However, as the wideman continues to improve, the Toffees can surely only expect to receive an increasing amount of interest in him over the next few transfer windows.

He has already proven to be a bargain for Everton after joining for around £15million last summer
No Evertn player notched more goals or successful take-ons than Ndiaye last term
Ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes that it would take an astronomical sum of money for Everton to consider doing business over Ndiaye.
“Everton are 100 per cent right in that stance,” King said.
“Ndiaye is a good player, and an exciting player. When he gets the ball under his feet and he runs at defenders, he’s very good to watch.
“He can be the difference between a win, a loss and a draw. He creates things from half-chances and he’s a huge player for Everton.
“The only way that they would think about selling him is if someone offered £100m, and I can’t see anybody forking out that much.”

Ndiaye is a huge player for David Moyes
The Friedkin Group have backed Moyes well in the transfer market so far this summer, but they must also back him strongly when it comes to the players who are already at the club.
Ndiaye is someone who plays a hugely important role within the ranks at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, as his pace and ability to carry the ball makes him a constant threat on the flanks.
By making it clear that they won’t be selling the wideman, TFG have shown that they trust Moyes to get the best out of the most promising assets at the club, and that is a huge tick next to the boss’ name.
Ndiaye has gone from strength to strength since his move to Merseyside, and everyone at Everton will be hoping that he is there for many years to come.
