Evangelos Marinakis told exactly what must happen next amid Nuno and Edu situation

The situation at Nottingham Forest between head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, Evangelos Marinakis and Edu must “come to a head”, says former Reds player David Prutton.

Nuno’s future at the City Ground is in the spotlight amid an extraordinary week at the club.

The Portuguese admitted last Friday to a deterioration in his relationship with owner Marinakis, while it has also been alleged there is a rift between Nuno and global head of football Edu.

Nuno underlined his commitment to Forest after their Premier League draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday, and was expected to meet with both Marinakis and Edu in a bid to find a way forward.

“Given how quickly it's escalated in a week, it references a Nottingham Forest of, I don't know, maybe five years ago, which was used to a bit of carnage and a bit of kind of craziness,” said Prutton, speaking on The Sports Agents podcast.

“And it really settled down with an owner who, I think, categorically, has been a wonderful thing for Forest. However, this situation needs to come to a head.”
