Valencia identified Leeds United’s Largie Ramazani as a key target to improve their attack this summer. They wanted to sign him on loan with a purchase option, but the Whites have refused it.
The Spanish club eventually gave up and have agreed to take the winger on dry loan.
On Wednesday, Las Provincias reported Leeds wanted to insert a clause that would have allowed them to recall the 24-year-old in January if Carlos Corberán didn’t use him in half of their fixtures.
Tribuna Deportiva now explain Valencia have managed to convince Daniel Farke’s side to remove the recall clause. This allowed them to unblock the deal and reach a definitive agreement with Leeds.
It’s claimed the two clubs are exchanging documents for the Belgian remains on loan at Mestalla until the end of this season.
Meanwhile, Ramazani has already travelled to Spain and arrived at the Alicante Airport at 1:10am. He’ll have to undergo medical tests and other formalities before the La Liga club make his signing official.
It’s unlikely for the attacker to be available for Valencia’s clash against Getafe on Friday.
AS also report Leeds have a ‘total agreement’ with the Spanish club for Ramazani’s loan move without an option to buy.
They say he landed in Alicante at 12:50am to finalise his move to Valencia. Upon arriving at the airport, he spoke to the local media, expressing his delight ahead of his impending transfer to Los Ches.
“I’m very happy to be here and to play in La Liga again. I’ve spoken with Corberán. I’m physically fit to play now,” he said, as quoted by AS.
Tribuna Deportiva took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to post a video of the Leeds man arriving at the airport.
