Chelsea will learn the sides they will need to beat in order to progress out of the Champions League group stages following the draw on Thursday afternoon.
The Blues will enter the competition under its new format for the very first time this season, meaning they know they will welcome one top side to Stamford Bridge this season.
There is the possibility of playing a game in the east of Kazakhstan, and a group stage clash up against Kairat Almaty, who boast Chelsea youngster Dastan Satpaev in their ranks.
The striker would no doubt be relishing the chance against the Blues in an attempt to really kickstart his career, however there is one player who is looking instead for one last rodeo at the top of the game.

Chelsea cult hero David Luiz could return to Stamford Bridge in the Champions League
38-year-old David Luiz is back in the competition for the first time since his time at Stamford Bridge, with his new side, Pafos FC, qualifying for the group stages.
The club were only formed back in 2014, and it will be their first time in a UEFA competition, meaning they will be in pot four when the draw is done.

With Newcastle in there too, and no English side able to draw another from their own league, there is a one in seven chance that Luiz could be lining up against Chelsea again this season on the big stage of the Champions League.
The Brazil international is a popular figure amongst Chelsea fans due to him playing a key role in the Champions League triumph in 2012, as well as their Premier League title win under Antonio Conte.

Luiz has already missed chance at Chelsea reunion
Since leaving Chelsea for the second time in 2019, the defender has played for Arsenal and EC Fortress before the move to Cyprus.
He also played for Flamengo, however left in 2024 and was therefore not around when the Blues lined up against them in the Club World Cup.
They were defeated 3-1 by the Brazilian side, in a game that will perhaps be most notable for Nicolas Jackson’s second red card in four appearances for Chelsea.
It could end up being one of the last significant moments in the Senegal international’s career with the club. He currently looks set for a move to Bayern Munich this summer.
