Everton pulled off a masterstroke when they brought David Moyes back as manager midway through last season, and are progressing well under him.
The Toffees were languishing near the relegation zone again midway through the season when they eventually parted ways with Sean Dyche.
Everton’s football was turgid under Dyche, while results were also poor, and his dismissal arguably came too late.
Dyche is yet to find another job since leaving Everton, despite his experience in English football, in which his Burnley side punched above their weight.

Sean Dyche suggested as Ruben Amorim replacement at Man United
Everton secured a 2-0 win over Mansfield Town in the Carabao Cup, but while their routine victory was being played out, Manchester United lost on penalties to League Two side Grimsby Town.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Ruben Amorim has had a disastrous spell as Man United boss since succeeding Erik ten Hag last year, and this was a new low for the former Sporting CP coach.
With Amorim under pressure, former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara spoke to a Man United fan on talkSPORT, but could not believe his ears as he suggested that Dyche replaces him.
“Sean Dyche, he would do a job, wouldn’t he?” The United fan asked.
O’Hara was in complete disbelief, before former Chelsea player Jason Cundy questioned why Dyche wouldn’t work.

“What’s wrong with Sean Dyche by the way? Seriously, what’s wrong with Sean Dyche, right here, right now?” Cundy responded.
“Oh come on mate. They’re not gonna bring in Sean Dyche, mate,” O’Hara replied.
“What they need now is a Sean Dyche,” Cundy pointed out.
“No they don’t. What, you’re gonna play Dyche ball?!” O’Hara exclaimed.
Everton fans disagree with Sean Dyche reputation
Dyche is a well-respected English coach, with neutrals often claiming that he deserves bigger jobs because of his work at Burnley, and he is seen as a safe pair of hands who can steer clubs away from the relegation zone.
This was initially what he did at Everton, but his limitations then showed, and the Toffees were stagnant under him.
Everton fans are much happier with Moyes now, and while some believe that Dyche could perform well with more resources from the outside looking in, no Toffees fan would agree that he is suitable for the Man United job right now.
