Graham Potter is already facing talk of the sack at West Ham, just two games into the Premier League season.
The London Stadium is full of misery this summer, and it’s difficult to say that it is unexpected.
After such a poor Premier League campaign last time out, added to the lack of transfer business so far this summer, as well as a wretched start to the current season, the level of optimism has been sucked out of West Ham.
Now, with a new update emerging on Potter’s future as West Ham boss, Sam Allardyce has spoken out about the way David Sullivan handles such pressure.

West Ham’s Carabao Cup defeat to Wolves was their third loss in a row, and Potter has shown no signs of turning things around at the London Stadium.

The Irons looked lost and just devoid of ideas under his guidance, or lack of, sparking the question as to whether he would be sacked this early into the season.

Natalie Pike, via the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, relayed the sack rumours that Potter has just two games to save his job, and Allardyce understood why.
“It happens, doesn’t it,” explained the former West Ham boss.
“David Sullivan is experienced enough to know, from his experience of what happened last time with Avram Grant, that he didn’t do it soon enough, then didn’t do it at all.
“Why did I know that? Because he rang me up and said, come and be the manager, and then changed his mind.
“He’s very good at giving you time. He’s never jumped quickly, normally. Of course, in this case, it’s because of what happened last season, everybody’s saying, give him time to settle in. There is no time for him to settle in.”
How does Graham Potter rank among former West Ham managers?
To put it straight, very poorly.
Only Grant has a lower win percentage with the Irons in the Premier League, showcasing the level of pressure that Potter is under.
In his 20 games as West Ham boss, Potter has managed just five wins, resulting in a 37.5 per cent win ratio, slightly higher than the 35.1 per cent record set by Grant over 37 games.
Julen Lopetegui was hounded out of West Ham, and his 42.5 per cent win ratio after the same number of games was considerably better.
Potter will be sacked; it is now just a matter of time as to when.
