Stefanos Tzimas said his finishing is all about instinct as he enjoyed a two-goal debut in front of fans, family and friends.
And he thanked the players who helped set him up, notably Harry Howell.
The young Greek striker was an instant hit with travelling supporters as he scored twice soon after going on as substitute in [Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/)'s 6-0 win at Oxford.
He grabbed the ball after his first goal, a calm conversion of a one-on-one, and booted it into the away section as he ran towards them.
More celebrations followed after the second as he found his brother and friends in the stand.
He will now hope to add Premier League minutes.
Tzimas said: “In the box, you don’t have to think a lot.
“I have the ball, I try to shoot. I don’t think a lot about what I will do with the ball. I think it’s instinct.”
Tzimas prides himself on being a specialist centre-forward.
He said: “My position is No.9. I have quality players behind me.
“My two goals were from two passes by Harry so the quality is there behind me.
“That makes the thing easier.”
Fabian Hurzeler has stressed Albion have been taking it “step by step” with the former PAOK man and compatriot Charalampos Kostoulas.
While fans have been impatient to see what the pair can do, Tzimas appreciates that approach from the staff.
He said: “It’s the reason I chose Brighton, because of the development.
“I think it’s the best club to develop younger players. I feel really good here.
“My ambition is to help as much as I can, if it is for 90 minutes or one minute.
“I want to score as many goals as I can but it isn’t my priority.
“My priority is the team first.”
