Marinakis pushing forward as Nottingham Forest make second offer – Confidence around deal

On Wednesday, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Nottingham Forest have had an initial offer of €10m rejected for Juventus’ Nicolo Savona.

There was belief that the Tricky Trees’ next bid could be enough for the Old Lady to sell the defender.

Today’s TuttoSport has a fresh stance as they believe that Nottingham Forest will make a new offer for the Italian. Evangelos Marinakis is keen on signing the player and is ready to make another effort.

The newspaper claim Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will put forward €14m to €15m plus a 10 percentage of future profit on a sale. This may not be enough for them to agree terms.

This is because the Bianconeri value the defender at €18m to €20m, as they look to make a major capital gain from Savona’s exit.

Despite this, TuttoSport are somewhat confident that Nottingham Forest should be able to sign the 22-year-old. That is because the two clubs held constructive talks yesterday and negotiations remain ongoing.

Nottingham Forest have already put forward a five-year deal to Savona, who will earn €2m per season and is happy to join the club.
