Manchester United defender in talks for exit – ‘Enthusiastic’ about deadline transfer

Tyrell Malacia has to find a new club as he has no future at Manchester United.

AS Roma and Lille have shown interest, but the duo could be missing out on the left-back to Elche CF.

That’s according to Voetbal International, who provide the latest on Elche’s interest in the Manchester United player.

Roma showed interest in carrying out a double deal involving the 26-year-old and Jadon Sancho. The report states Malacia wasn’t keen, resulting in the Red Devils ‘to threaten to never let’ him leave.

That’s unlikely to happen also because Lille and Elche have made approaches to sign the Netherlands international.

The French club contacted both the fullback and Manchester United, but they didn’t make progress.

Elche have entered the race and VI reports they have officially registered their interest to sign Malacia on loan from Manchester United. They are in talks with the English club for the fullback.

The La Liga side also had talks with the player on Monday evening, explaining to him that he’d be able to enjoy regular minutes should accept their approach. This has made Malacia ‘enthusiastic’ and he’s eager to join them before the window closes on Monday.

The Spanish club will have to act quickly to find agreements with both Manchester United and Malacia to conclude the operation.
