West Ham United and Como are battling to sign FC Midtjylland’s Franculino Djú late in the summer window.
That’s according to Bold, and they report West Ham and Como have taken concrete steps to sign the striker.
The 21-year-old joined the Danish club in August 2023 and took time to settle before starting to feature regularly.
He scored 42 goals and registered 12 assists from 82 games for Midtjylland, of which nine goals and two assists are from 10 games this season. West Ham and Como seem to have been convinced by Franculino Djú’s profile and potential.
It’s claimed the Hammers have offered €15m for the Guinea-Bissau international and the same figure has also been proposed by the Serie A club.
Last December, he signed an extension until 2029 and Transfermarkt currently values him at €13m. Although West Ham and Como’s bids are €2m more than that, the Danish club have no plans to accept it.
Bold reports Midtjylland are ‘demanding far more’ than what West Ham and Como offered as their desire is to retain the frontman. There’s no mention of their request or if Graham Potter’s side will return with an improved offer.
Earlier this month, Marca discussed Everton’s interest in Franculino Djú and reported that Midtjylland value him at €20m.
