A day after trimming their roster down to 53, the Miami Dolphins still had some moves that they were going to make. The Rasul Douglas signing became official and the team had to release S Jordan Colbert. Douglas is going to bring a much needed veteran presence in the cornerback room. Speaking of that room, the Dolphins were rewarded JuJu Brents off of waiver and had to release Isaiah Johnson to make room.
From there, the practice squad began to take shape. Familiar names are back, but none more surprising than RB Jeff Wilson Jr. Wilson was rarely used and should have been used in those short yardage situations last season. But he’s familiar with the scheme and the Dolphins may need his services with the injuries the team has been dealing with.
