Wolves’ need for an attacker brought them to Getafe’s Christantus Uche, and the transfer has been far from straightforward.

Later, Getafe’s manager Jose Bordalas said he wants Uche to stay, with the owner saying he was forced to sell the Nigerian.
On Tuesday night, a journalist said that Uche and his agent were unhappy with the deal, stemming from the role of Jorge Mendes in the move.

Christantus Uche to Wolves looks to be off with Spanish journalist Álvaro Ramos saying the player and his agent have ‘scrapped’ the move.
The report says that Italian club Como have reignited their interest in the player, offering money and attacker Iván Azón as part of the deal.

Now, Wolves may have to pay over the £17 million fee they were discussing with the La Liga side if they are still intent on signing him.

Wolves do not have time to waste. The Old Gold are desperate for attacking reinforcements, and while this news will be a major blow, they should move on quickly.
Continuing to work on the Uche deal that is now up in the air could be a waste of time with only a few days left of the transfer window.
