Codie Thomas says the lessons she’s learned from City’s senior players have been invaluable to her fledgling career so far.
And she explained how she’s been grateful for the wisdom bestowed to her from Alex Greenwood and Kerstin Casparij in particular.
The exciting right-back has penned a two-year contract extension with the Club which will keep her at the Joie Stadium until the summer of 2027.
After joining our Academy in 2016 and signing her maiden professional deal in December 2024, it’s the latest milestone for the 18-year-old who made three senior appearances last season.

And she says she’s aiming to absorb as much as she can from her teammates across the next two terms.
“At first it was Alex [who helped me settle] and then recently I’ve been looking a lot towards Kerstin now because we play the same position.
“I feel like in training especially today, I was asking her little things, like, ‘oh, how could I have done this better? Like, what do you think about this?’ and just trying to get as much information as possible.
“It’s so important for me personally, cause it’s going to help me develop huge [amounts] because they’ve experienced it, they’ve done it, I just need to learn off that and do what they’ve done.”
