Aston Villa have been linked with a £30 million move for Borussia Dortmund forward Maximilian Beier.

Reports from Germany suggest that Villa are keen to push ahead with a deal for the 22-year-old, but BirminghamLive understands this is not the case.

Villa are looking to strengthen Unai Emery’s attacking options and have shown interest in Chelsea duo Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku.

However, the club are now expected to explore other targets, with Jackson close to securing a loan move to Bayern Munich and Nkunku nearing a permanent transfer to AC Milan.

Beier, meanwhile, has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Brentford, but Villa are not currently considering a move for the German international.

After scoring 16 Bundesliga goals for Hoffenheim in the 2023/24 season, Beier was signed by Dortmund last summer.

In his first campaign with the club, he contributed 14 goals - scoring eight and providing six assists.
