Liverpool are “open” to selling player who “can produce some beautiful things” – journalist

**Liverpool are now “open” to selling a player who Jurgen Klopp has shown his appreciation for in the past, according to a new transfer update regarding his future.**

The Reds have just a few days left to complete any incoming and outgoing transfer business, with supporters desperately hoping they bring in Alexander Isak and Marc Guehi.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool snap up the pair from Newcastle United and Crystal Palace, respectively, but a new centre-back and striker feel imperative for the Premier League champions, with their depth in those areas not the strongest.

There could also be players who depart by the end of next Monday, however, with Kostas Tsimikas and Harvey Elliott among those who could move on.

Now, journalist Filippo Biafora has taken to [_X_](https://x.com/Fil_Biafora/status/1960820453066596757) to claim that Liverpool are “open” to the idea of allowing Tsimikas to leave on loan, with Roma keen on snapping him up:

_“Important steps forward for Tsimikas at AS Roma, Liverpool open to a straight loan formula. Salah-Eddine will leave, with PSV also interested in him alongside Cagliari and Torino.”_

**The right time for Liverpool to loan out Tsimikas?**

------------------------------------------------------

With Milos Kerkez now brought in to provide strong competition for Andy Robertson at left-back, it makes sense for Liverpool to loan out Tsimikas this summer, even though [Klopp](https://www.thisisanfield.com/2023/11/jurgen-klopp-really-happy-with-kostas-tsimikas-he-can-do-beautiful-things/) spoke highly of him during their time together:

_“We all know if he’s stable, then he can produce some beautiful things, especially crosses, set-pieces, all these kinds of things. We need that. And so, yeah, really, really happy.”_

If Tsimikas does leave, he will be remembered as a popular player who proved to be a good squad player, always adding plenty of personality to the dressing room.

Granted, the Greek has always found it challenging to dislodge Robertson from Liverpool’s strongest starting lineup, but he has always been an able deputy who has provided competition at both ends of the pitch.

If he does end up at Roma on loan, and enjoys a successful stint there, a permanent move there could potentially materialise next summer, officially bringing an end to his time at Anfield.
