“By Monday, it’ll be resolved” – Tottenham and Aston Villa in the mix as manager wants transfer sorted

On Wednesday, [RMC Sport](https://sportwitness.co.uk/one-in-out-at-tottenham-spurs-already-moving-for-yves-bissouma-replacement/) reported Tottenham and Aston Villa are candidates to sign Marseille’s Adrien Rabiot.

The outlet noted that the two clubs had made contact with the Frenchman’s entourage.

After a recent poor result, Rabiot had a dressing room altercation with then teammates Jonathan Rowe and rather than calm the situation, Marseille decided to go nuclear and announce they’d sell both players.

That was especially controversial given Rabiot is one of the club’s best players and has repeatedly proven his importance.

France manager Didier Deschamps has given a press conference this week, and [Le Figaro](http://lefigaro.fr) have quotes about the 30-year-old’s future, after the manager called him up to Les Blues’ squad.

He explained Rabiot’s future will be resolved by Monday, saying:  _“I’ve spoken with him several times, I’m not going to go into detail. He’s done his preparation, the friendlies, the first match… What happened happened. The situation isn’t easy for him.”_

Speaking further, he said: _“The only thing is that by Monday, it will be resolved, I don’t know in what sense. When it takes on such media proportions, with different people speaking out. I’m not going to say who’s right and who’s wrong._

_“I care about Adrien because of what he’s done with us and what he’s capable of doing. It was important for me to know his state of mind before these two important matches. It’s good that he’s here for these matches.”_

In the same report, Le Figaro reiterate there’s interest from Tottenham, Aston Villa and AC Milan, saying Rabiot is now waiting for the right offer to arrive so that he can leave Marseille.

The outlet report that there is no shortage of suitors but the player is yet to make a final decision.

There is no indication of how much Tottenham or Aston Villa will have to pay for the France international but considering how Rabiot has fallen out with Marseille, the fee is unlikely to be too high.

Rabiot’s current contract at the Velodrome runs out in the summer of 2026 and this can make it easier for suitors to land him.
