Liverpool are lining up a deadline day move for Real Madrid star Rodrygo if they fail to land their primary target Alexander Isak, according to GiveMeSport.
The Reds have been active this summer in the transfer market and they have made some big name signings to strengthen the squad and provide manager Arne Slot the best opportunity to defend their Premier League title.
Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez have all joined the club this summer is a major reshuffle of the squad that has seen players like Jarell Quansah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz leave the club.
Their transfer spending is still not over as they plan to make another move for Newcastle United striker Isak. Although the Magpies have made it clear that the attacker is not for sale, Liverpool believe they still have a chance to sign him due to the strong stance of the player.

However, if they fail to sign him, they are planning to make a move for Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from La Liga side all summer. Opportunities have been limited for him recently as manager Xabi Alonso has preferred other players.
Rodrygo has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham are reportedly showing interest in signing the player.
The Real Madrid attacker is reportedly valued at €100m (£86m) by the Spanish club which means that any move for the player would cost Liverpool a significant amount.
There are still doubts over the future of Isak and with just days remaining in the transfer window, nothing is certain at the moment.

The Swedish striker has made it clear that he has no intention of integrating into the Newcastle squad this season and he is only looking for a move to Anfield.
It remains to be seen what happens and which player the Reds will sign in the end.
Both of them bring different value to Slot’s squad. Isak is a proven goal scorer who can completely change the dynamic of Liverpool’s attack. He has pace and presence up front.
On the other hand, Rodrygo is a versatile player who can play on either flank as well as a false nine.
It all depends on what Slot wants in the end but whoever they sign out of the two, they would be making a huge statement and sending a warning to their Premier League rivals.
