Agent expresses Brentford interest in player to club – Offer would be one they can’t refuse

An agent representing Brentford expressed interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Maximilian Beier on Wednesday and a mega offer may now be in the works.

That’s according to BILD, who report that a bid of £55m plus £5m may now be about to wing its way to Borussia Dortmund.

According to BILD’s information, this unnamed agent has made it clear that Brentford are interested in the striker once again. So much so that they are seemingly willing to pay £55m plus £5m in bonuses. That equates to around €70m for the Germany international.

Aston Villa are also believed to be keen. Dortmund, for their part, don’t want to let him go but would have to consider a deal at these prices.

The striker cost them €30m to sign from Hoffenheim last summer but has been in and out of the side since his arrival, largely playing a role behind Serhou Guirassy.

He would prefer to be playing regularly and scoring goals ahead of next summer, when he wants to be in Julian Nagelsmann’s squad for the World Cup.

Thus, a move to Brentford could prove to be tempting. They’ve had a longstanding interest in him and tried to sign him last summer before he went to Dortmund.
