RC Lens have reached an agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion for winger Abdallah Sima to join the French side.
That’s [according to Foot Mercato](https://www.footmercato.net/a6827699326345288689-lens-accord-total-trouve-avec-brighton-pour-abdallah-sima), who report that Lens have pushed to sign the 24-year-old as a replacement for Morgan Guilavogui.
They explain that the Brighton winger’s profile appeals to the French club after he impressed on loan with Brest last season, scoring 12 goals and providing two assists in 40 games in all competitions.
He has extensive experience in Ligue 1 also as well as European competition and they see him as an ideal addition to their forward line.
A contract agreement has now been reached with Brighton for a deal with €4.5m plus bonuses. Lens are essentially buying out the last year of the winger’s contract with the Seagulls.
The 24-year-old will sign a four-year deal with the French club and bring an unsuccessful four-year spell with Brighton to an end.
He joined them in an €8m deal in 2021 but has spent the last few years out on loan with Stoke, Angers, Glasgow Rangers and Stade Brestois and never making a single appearance for Brighton.
