Jaguars GM Reveals Injury Update On Travis Hunter

The Jacksonville Jaguars made a massive move ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, moving up to take Travis Hunter with the No. 2 overall pick.

Hunter, of course, was a highly touted prospect who could play on both sides of the ball in college, and it was an exciting proposition to be able to acquire a player with that kind of athletic upside.

While it was surprising at the time, it is now clear that the Jaguars are looking to build around their young players, hitting it big with Brian Thomas Jr. in last year’s draft and continuing to support Trevor Lawrence in whatever way possible.

Hunter’s debut will be a sight to behold, especially if he plays a lot on both sides of the ball, but a recent injury called that into question.

There was a slight concern that an upper-body injury would be nagging and potentially cause him some difficulties, but GM James Gladstone put those concerns to bed in a recent comment:

“He’s on the grass today and rolling full speed,” Gladstone said of Hunter.

At this moment, it appears that Hunter is ready to go and doesn’t have any physical limitations.

This is great news for Jaguars fans, who are itching to see what this new-look team is capable of.

Hunter, of course, brings a lot to the table in all aspects of his game, and if his college tape translates to the NFL, this could be a match made in heaven for the Jaguars.
