West Ham are still in the race to snap up Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber, according to reports in the German media.
Writing on his X account, Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg said that the Hammers are “exploring a deal to sign” the 24-year-old, along with Bayer Leverkusen.
Timber has been linked with a move to the London Stadium in recent days, with trusted source ExWHUEmployee confirming that the player is open to a move to London.

His brother Jurrien plays for Arsenal, and he has been pressing for a switch to the Premier League, having reached the final year of his contract at Feyenoord.
Do West Ham need Timber?
The Irons are poised to wrap up the signings of Monaco’s Soungoutou Magassa and Southampton’s Mateus Fernandes, which may suggest that a deal for Timber is no longer a priority.
However, head coach Graham Potter has already lost Edson Alvarez, while both Guido Rodriguez and Andy Irving could depart before the transfer window closes.
In that context, signing a third midfielder would not be beyond the realms of possibility. Timber has strong credentials too, having captained Feyenoord as well as being capped five times by the Netherlands.
It has been a busy transfer window for the Hammers
If the Magassa and Fernandes deals are sealed in the coming hours, it would take the number of summer arrivals to seven. The likes of El Hadji Malick Diouf, Mads Hermansen, Callum Wilson, Kyle Walker-Peters and Jean-Clair Todibo have already been brought in on permanent deals.
Further additions could well be made between now and the transfer deadline on Monday evening. As well as Timber, there are reports that the club are tempted to bring in another goalkeeper (if Alphonse Areola leaves) and a striker.
