As the clouds of pessimism have replaced all the positive build-up to the season, Amorim is losing the trust of win-starved fans, and following the game against Grimsby, his woes have further intensified. Subsequently, a report is making the rounds in English media, stating that the INEOS Group has started to contemplate possible replacements for Amorim.

The manager did not avoid holding himself accountable for the disaster against Grimsby and stated that "something needs to change" after his team lost in the penalty shootout.
