Newcastle United have spent their summer looking for a couple of new strikers and have had something of a nightmare in the process. The striker market is always a very competitive one at the top end but the Magpies have faced repeated difficulties.
As all this has been happening, Alexander Isak has been refusing to train with the Newcastle United squad, and Eddie Howe hasn’t been able to utilise the Sweden international.
In recent hours there’s been reports of a claim in Argentina about the Premier League club contacting Lautaro Martinez’s agent. It was attributed to Fox Sports Argentina but there doesn’t appear to be any link to verify Newcastle United making an effort for the Inter Milan player.
Regardless, it worried [FCInter1908](https://www.fcinter1908.it/calciomercato/mercato-inter/esclusiva-ag-lautaro-newcastle-lautaro/) enough to make them contact Martinez’s agent themselves. Alejandro Camano has dismissed claims of an Inter Milan exit repeatedly, consistently sending a message that his client is happy where he is.
Camano has done the same again, quoted by FCInter1908 as saying: “_Lautaro plays for Inter, the European runner-up team. He’s Inter’s captain, he’s happy at Inter. There are some questions that don’t even need an answer.”_
That’s the end of that one then.
