The draw for the 2025–26 UEFA Champions League league phase will take place today [Thursday] at 5 pm BST at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
Liverpool come into the tournament with high hopes after falling short against eventual champions PSG in the round of 16 last season.
The Reds were the only team to take Luis Enrique’s side to penalties in the knock-out stage.
Thirty-six clubs have been divided into four pots based on their UEFA club coefficient, with the title holders occupying the top seed in Pot 1.
Each team will be drawn one at a time and assigned eight opponents – two from each pot -using a hybrid process that combines a traditional ball draw with automated software to immediately reveal fixtures.
Teams from the same domestic association cannot face each other in this phase, and each club will play four home and four away matches between September and January.
