The Champions League draw is underway, with the picks for pot 1 and pot 2 clubs already confirmed.
So far, Newcastle United have learnt their opponents from the top two pots – and they are extremely exciting and extremely tough!
From pot 1, Newcastle will face a home tie with Spanish giants Barcelona, along with an away trip to PSG; the current holders who we famously hammered two seasons ago!
From pot 2, Newcastle have drawn Benfica, who will come to St James’ Park after winning their qualifier against Fenerbahce last night, and will also travel to Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen, now managed by Erik Ten Hag.
From pot 3, Newcastle will take on Dutch side PSV at home, along with an away day in Marseille.
