2x NBA All-Star delivers strong stance on possible return to Europe

Two-time NBA All-Star Nikola Vucevic revealed that he would love to finish his career playing in the NBA.

One of the biggest stories in basketball this offseason was the situation surrounding new Denver Nuggets center Jonas Valanciunas, who reportedly came very close to leaving his NBA contract to sign with EuroLeague powerhouse Panathinaikos Athens.

Such a move would have been one of the most significant transfers in recent basketball history. The prospect of Valanciunas joining a EuroLeague giant also raised the idea that other high-profile NBA players, still in their prime, might consider making the jump to Europe.

Among those who could potentially weigh such a decision is Chicago Bulls center and two-time NBA All-Star Nikola Vucevic.

For now, however, Vucevic made it clear he is not considering such a move. Instead, he sees his ideal career ending with retirement in the NBA.

"Actually, I have to talk to him about asking what was going on," Vucevic told Lukas Katilius of BasketNews regarding Jonas Valanciunas offseason saga.

"But for me, I would like to stay in the NBA as much as I can," he revealed. "I think I still have a few very good years ahead of me."

"I feel very good that I had a really good season last year. So hopefully I can stay there for a couple more years and then go from there."

"But yeah, if I can stay in the NBA until the end and retire there, that would be perfect," Vucevic stated. "It is the best league. I've been there my whole life."
