The NBA offseason was predicted to be one of the craziest ones in recent years. However, that was far from the case as there was only one blockbuster trade revolving around a superstar, forward Kevin Durant.

Only one superstar was moved this summer, but that could change as the 2026 trade deadline is less than six months away. There is a chance that a few superstars could get traded, and it's all the NBA insiders are talking about, at least in their latest poll.
In a recent piece by ESPN NBA insiders, they predicted that New Orleans Pelicans superstar forward Zion Williamson would be the next superstar to request a trade.
Williamson received the most votes with 10.
"Williamson's stay in New Orleans might have been extended by the Pelicans' front office change, with Joe Dumars replacing David Griffin as the primary decision-maker. If Williamson can have a strong start to the season -- and avoid the injury bug that has plagued his career -- it's feasible that he could seek a fresh start instead of remaining with a New Orleans franchise that seems stuck in neutral."
Trailing the former No.1 overall pick is Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo with seven votes and Lakers superstar LeBron James with six.
There is no denying the talent of the 25-year-old supertar, but his health, durability and conditioning have been a major question mark throughout his career.
Last season, Williamson only played in 30 games. The most games he played were during the 2023-24 season, which were 70. The Pelicans made the playoffs that season, but they were swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder, largely due to Williamson's absence from the playoffs.
Williamson has a multitude of off-court questions, but regarding his on-court performance, there is no denying his talent and impact on the court. In only 214 games in his career, he averages 24.7 points per game, 6.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 58.9 percent from the field and 32.7 percent from beyond the arc in 31.4 minutes of action.
Williamson has spent six seasons with the Pelicans but has played in only five. Injuries have hampered his ability, and possibly a change of scenery will do the two-time All-Star some good.
Nonetheless, nothing is set in stone. However, if the Pelcians receive an offer they cannot refuse, the former Duke Blue Devil could be on the move. Where would be the million-dollar question?
