Manchester United and Chelsea have reportedly come to an agreement over a deal for Alejandro Garnacho, with the Argentina international expected to undergo a medical with the Blues on Friday.
Garnacho was told at the end of the 2024-25 campaign that he was no longer in Ruben Amorim's plans at Old Trafford, and he has been training away from the first team over the summer and at the start of this season.
The 21-year-old is believed to have been the subject of interest from a number of foreign clubs, but he made it clear that he only wanted to make the move to Chelsea during this summer's transfer window.
The Blues were initially not believed to be willing to pay more than £25m for Garnacho, but according to transfer expert David Ornstein, a fixed fee of £40m has been agreed.
Ornstein claims that Man United also have a 10% sell-on clause included in the agreement, while Garnacho is set to sign a contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2032 once his medical has been completed on Friday.

Chelsea 'agree £40m deal' for Man United's Garnacho
Garnacho's sale will be the fourth-largest in Man United's history behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Angel Di Maria, while it is the biggest sale of an academy product from the club.
The £40m fixed fee will also count as pure profit under the Premier League's rules surrounding profit and sustainability, so it is a lucrative transfer for the 20-time English champions.
The fact that Garnacho has not played a match since the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur means that it will take some time for the Argentina international to get up to full speed.
However, there is a chance that he could be involved in Chelsea's first match after the September international break, which comes against Brentford on September 13.
Alternatively, he could make a spectacular first appearance against Man United at Old Trafford on September 20.

What went wrong for Garnacho at Man United?
Garnacho fell out with Man United head coach Amorim following the Europa League final, with the attacker furious that he was not selected in the starting XI.
The Argentina international had some firm words for Amorim after the match, while his brother and agent also hit out at the Portuguese, and there was no way back from that moment.
Garnacho had off-the-field issues during his time at Old Trafford, with his attitude often called into question.
At the start of the transfer window, the Red Devils are thought to have valued Garnacho at £70m, but they have been forced to drop their asking price due to their obvious desire to sell.
Garnacho will leave Man United having scored 26 goals and registered 22 assists in 144 matches in all competitions, including 11 goals and 10 assists in 58 outings during the 2024-25 campaign.
