Everton will be looking to make it two wins on the bounce at the weekend when they face Wolves at Molineux.
The Toffees did not make the start to the season they’d have hoped for against Leeds United.
However, David Moyes was able to guide his side to three points in their first game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
There is still time for Everton to make some late additions, but it is believed Moyes is pleased with the transfer business so far.
A number of players have already locked in their positions in the starting XI; one of those being Jordan Pickford.
Gary Lineker raved about Pickford earlier this week following his latest penalty save at the weekend.
Just days later, Jamie Carragher shared some of the same sentiment, but there was also a clear dig at Everton

Jamie Carragher drops back-handed Jordan Pickford compliment at Everton
Having saved Danny Welbeck’s penalty at the weekend, Pickford hit back at criticism over his penalty cheat sheet on his water bottle.
The 31-year-old has cemented himself as England’s number one, but some debate still gets sparked about his spot between the sticks.
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Carragher shut down any questions over Pickford being England’s first choice, but he did take a swipe at him playing for the Blues.
“Listen, Jordan Pickford is rightly England’s number one, no doubt about it. I don’t think there’s anyone really close to him and he’s a brilliant goalkeeper for Everton,” said Carragher. (45:50)
“But when I think of the England goalkeeper, he’s basically been playing for a team who’s been fighting relegation for the last three or four years.
“Even in this country, I don’t think it’s great, but the whole sort of goalkeeping union [in the Premier League] is so bad.”
Carragher has shown his true Everton colours recently, but he should know what team a player plays for should not restrict their achievements.
A number of the top sides in the league would hugely benefit from having Pickford between the sticks for their club.
Pickford’s consistency playing for England has only highlighted that he has the quality to play for a side competing at the top level in Europe.
Jordan Pickford has agreed new deal with Everton
Carragher hailed Pickford as Everton’s best player at the end of last season, following another solid campaign in the Premier League.
There is some news that may not go down so well with Carragher.
Everton News understands that Pickford has agreed terms to a new deal with Everton, that could potentially see him end his career on Merseyside.
The 31-year-old has been an excellent servant for the Blues, and not playing among Europe’s elite should not go against him.
Pickford has proven on the global stage with England that he provides in the biggest of moments.
On the other hand, his competition in James Trafford showed this weekend at a huge club like Manchester City that he may struggle to handle the pressure.
