Virgili joined Barcelona only last summer, arriving from Nastic, and soon became a key player for the Juvenil A team.

The 19-year-old prodigious winger was an integral member of Juliano Belletti’s Juvenil A team that won the historic treble, while he also broke into the reserve team squad.

This summer saw Virgili do parts of the pre-season with the Barcelona senior team under Hansi Flick. However, having been moved back to Barça Atletic, he decided to take the next step in his career and join Barcelona.

While the statement does not reveal the full details of the transfer, it is understood that Barcelona will be receiving €3.5 million for 50% of Virgili’s rights.

In addition, the Blaugrana will also retain a future sell-on clause and a buyback option for the attacker, while the statement also confirms the existence of a first refusal option.

Virgili becomes the second Barcelona player to join Mallorca this summer after Pablo Torre.
