LeBron James Sends Shocking Message on Cleveland Browns

LeBron James is one of the best NBA players of all-time, but there are many who wonder what kind of NFL player he could have been. He is known for being a Cleveland Browns fan, but he was also a star football player in high school.

Simply looking at his physical size and athleticism, James could have played football at a very high level. He made the right choice by pursuing basketball, but has still been very active in the football world with his voice.

Ahead of the 2025 NFL season, James spoke out with some of his thoughts about where the league stands.

When it comes to the Browns, James provided a shocking statement. He believes that Cleveland is the biggest "sleeper" team in the NFL this season.

James also pointed out that his biggest sleeper prediction last season turned out to be 100 percent correct. He selected the Washington Commanders ahead of the 2024 season and they went on to have a stunning run to the NFC Championship Game.

Looking at the Browns, it's hard to see what James is seeing. Cleveland does not look great on paper.

While the Browns have been a team with a lot of buzz surrounding them due to Shedeur Sanders, the roster is not elite. They have some great pieces, especially Myles Garrett, but there is a lot of work that still needs to be done.

Joe Flacco will be the team's starting quarterback to begin the year. He's a solid veteran presence, but he's not a signal caller expected to power a Super Bowl run.

Should James turn out to be right, he would look like a football genius. If Cleveland is able to make a run to the playoffs, that in and of itself would be a major surprise. It's possible, but it seems extremely unlikely.

As for James himself, the longtime NBA superstar is entering the final year of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. There is a high expectation that he could hit open free agency next offseason and potentially change teams to finish his career.

Only time will tell about James' future and what the Browns have in store this season, but his sleeper NFL team pick has officially been made.
