Chelsea reach agreement with Manchester United for Alejandro Garnacho

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign Alejandro Garnacho for a £40 million fixed fee plus a 10 per cent sell-on clause, according to [Fabrizio Romano](https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1961133378570272992?t=UL-_6vpWaluiBxQJFnBewg&s=19).

Chelsea have agreed a deal with Manchester United for the signing of Alejandro Garnacho.

Garnacho is set to sign a seven-year contract through to 2032 and is expected to undergo a medical in London on Friday ahead of the proposed move.

The 21-year-old gave his total priority to Chelsea, ruling out all options this summer, aside from joining Chelsea.

The winger broke into the first team and made his Red Devils’ debut in April 2021.

He has since then racked up 26 goals and 22 assists in 144 appearances for the Manchester side.

A broken relationship with manager Ruben Amorim forced Garnacho to make a move away from Manchester.

The sale becomes the largest for a United academy graduate and the fourth largest in United’s history after Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Angel Di Maria.

The Blues have been anticipating adding to their ranks on the left wing after Jadon Sancho returned back to Man Utd due to the conclusion of his loan spell in West London.

Despite the signing of Jamie Gittens from Dortmund this summer, the Blues have decided to add another winger to their books.

The Argentine forward had interested suitors abroad from Italy and Saudi in January, but his priority was to remain in the Premier League.

The Italian champions struggled to convince Garnacho to make a move to Italy when Napoli director Manna said in an interview, “We made an important bid to Manchester United for Garnacho. We really wanted him.”

“We weren’t able to agree on personal terms with Alejandro; he requested an important salary to leave in January, and we must respect our players.”

Chelsea hosts Fulham at the Bridge on Saturday in their next Premier League match, and Garnacho will most likely be presented to Stamford Bridge.
