Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard Luka Dončić went all out on Thursday in Slovenia’s debut group stage match of EuroBasket 2025 against Poland.
Although Slovenia lost, Dončić made EuroBasket history.
Much to the delight of Lakers fans around the world, Dončić poured in 34 points on 7-for-14 from the field, 3-for-9 from three and 17-for-18 from the line to go along with nine assists, five steals, four rebounds and even two blocks in 36 minutes — an absurd stat line for the 26-year-old.
Luka’s epic performance made him the first EuroBasket competitor in tournament history to tally a 30/5/5 game. EuroBasket, by the way, has been going on since 1935, with the tournament taking place every two years until 2017, after which it’s taken place every four years.

Per BasketNews, Luka’s 17 made free throws is a feat unseen in EuroBasket since Spanish guard Juan Carlos Navarro sank 18 shots from the charity stripe in 2005 against Croatia.
Dončić was playing in front of Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and general manager Rob Pelinka, who traveled 12 hours to Katowice, Poland to watch their star in action.
