Man United head coach Ruben Amorim needs a convincing win this weekend to silence the doubters after a humiliating defeat to Grimsby in the Carabao Cup.
Having rotated his team for the trip to Blundell Park, we can expect most (if not all) of those players who started on Wednesday night to be dropped for the game this weekend.
Read below as we provide our Man United predicted lineup for the match against Burnley at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Altay Bayindir – despite calls to start Tom Heaton, the Turkish international is likely to get the nod.
CB – Leny Yoro – the Frenchman is leagues ahead of Tyler Fredricson despite being a year younger.
CB – Matthijs de Ligt – the centre-back has had a good start to the campaign and he is set to replace Harry Maguire.
CB – Luke Shaw – due to his injury record, the 29-year-old can’t really play more than one game a week. Considering United only have league fixtures between now and January, the light schedule means he should be ready to start more often than not.
