Our under-18s will be aiming to maintain their 100% start to the season as they head to the West Midlands to face Birmingham City on Saturday, August 30. Kick-off at Wast Hills Training Ground is at 12pm (UK time)
Adam Birchall’s side have begun the 2025/26 campaign in fine form, recording three consecutive wins across league and cup competitions.
After opening the season with league victories over Norwich City and Southampton, the team produced a dominant performance in their most recent outing - a 4-0 win over Peterborough United in the Premier League Cup Group Stage.
THE Opposition
--------------
The Blues had a difficult start to their season, suffering a heavy 8-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on the opening day. However, they responded well in their next fixture, earning a hard-fought 1-1 draw away at West Ham United, with Kian McCusker scoring a late equaliser.
In midweek Premier League Cup action, they narrowly lost 2-1 to Middlesbrough, conceding two late goals after leading for much of the match.
Previous Encounter
------------------
The two sides last met in the Premier League Cup last season, where our under-18s produced a thrilling comeback to win 3-2, recovering from two goals down thanks to a strike from Alex Marciniak and a brace from Max Dowman.
