With just a few days left before the English transfer window closes, Manchester City are running out of time to conclude their summer business.
The Citizens have been very busy on the transfer front this summer, completing most of their business in June and July.
However, that’s not to say Manchester City are completely done and dusted. There are still several things they will look to do.
Manchester City News has spoken exclusively to transfer insider Graeme Bailey about the latest on the City transfer front.

Manchester City’s goalkeeper situation is the top priority
“They’ve got a fair bit to do,” Bailey exclusively told Manchester City News. “They plan on doing a fair bit on several fronts.

“Obviously the goalkeeper situation is paramount. Ederson wants to go. He’s agreed terms on going and it’s been ongoing for quite a while.
“Galatasaray are looking at Senne Lemmens in case they don’t get Ederson, but the Man City keeper is the priority, they want him signed.
“City are also making arrangements regarding Gianluigi Donnarumma – indeed, they might need to do a deal for Donnarumma before Ederson because the Turkish transfer window is open for a while longer.
“So that is an option, but then there’s always the risk that Ederson doesn’t go and then City would have Donnarumma, Ederson and Trafford in their ranks. Obviously City do want a replacement for Ederson.”

Other players linked with Manchester City exit
Bailey also discussed the state of play involving the likes of Manuel Akanji, Issa Kabore, Ilkay Gundogan and Savinho.
“Galatasaray are also looking at Manuel Akanji,” said Bailey. There are a few teams looking at him, including Crystal Palace.
“He’s thinking about his future, but there’s a real chance he stays actually. I think he’s considering what to do – keep an eye on him for sure.
“Issa Kabore could also leave. Paris FC was the one I heard. They like him.
“There’s a few in the Championship who like him as well. I think he will go – if he goes to Paris it’s likely to be permanent but if he goes to the Championship it might be a loan.
“Ilkay Gundogan – I think he’s going to stay, he had options at Galatasaray as well.
“City still haven’t done anything with regard to a new right-back. It looks like Rico Lewis, as we suspected all along, is going to sign a new contract.
“I think that one will get done. Will it be done by Monday? Possibly, but probably not.
“We now know that Savinho is going to stay. I think they’ve really put the block on that. The player wants to go, but they don’t want to let him go. Rodrygo was an option, but again, complicated.
“However, the main priority is the goalkeeper situation. With regards to Donnarumma, City really could be signing one of the world’s best. We shouldn’t take our eyes off that. It’s a real possibility.”
