Liverpool have blown their Premier League rivals away after being crowned England’s most valuable club, sources have told Football Insider.

The Football 50 2025 report ranks the top 50 sides based on their enterprise value, which represents the total worth of a club if they were to go on sale.

The analysis, published by Brand Finance, revealed Real Madrid are the most valuable club in the world with a £5.19billion valuation.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are above Liverpool in second place, with the Spanish giants worth £3.81billion and the Premier League champions coming in at £3.68billion.

It comes after Liverpool recorded a bumper financial year in 2024-25 following their title success under Arne Slot.

Liverpool could land £100m payout after deal agreed

Alongside Liverpool, several of their Premier League rivals also made it into the top 10 of Brand Finance’s report.

Bayern Munich’s £3.64billion valuation puts them in fourth spot ahead of Arsenal, who are valued at £3.48billion.

PSG are sixth on the list of most valuable clubs at £3.46billion, while Manchester United are just behind them in seventh with a £3.17billion valuation.

Manchester City are next up with a £3.04billion valuation, with Chelsea coming in ninth after being valued at £2.54billion.

The new data comes despite Man City posting a record-breaking revenue in 2023-24 as their turnover increased from £713million to £715million – the highest-ever total in English football.

Meanwhile, Liverpool also posted a club-record revenue in 2023-24 after their turnover surged from £594milliion to £614million.

That figure is only likely to increase this season as Liverpool could land a £100million payout from their new sponsorship deal with Adidas, having switched shirt suppliers to the German manufacturer from Nike.

Liverpool ‘confident’ of Alexander Isak agreement

In terms of transfer activity, Slot is still looking to add to his squad before the transfer window closes on 1 September.

Football Insider revealed on 28 August Liverpool are “confident” of agreeing a deal for Alexander Isak despite Newcastle United’s reluctance to sell their star striker.

The Merseyside giants have remained in daily contact with Isak’s camp as they try to get a deal over the line.

It is expected Liverpool will return with an improved second bid for the 25-year-old that will include “significant adjustments” to the add-ons suggested in the original package.

Isak is refusing to play for Newcastle and has made it clear he wants to secure a big-money move to Anfield after an initial £110million bid plus add-ons was rejected.
