Jack Grealish has impressed at Everton
Jack Grealish is hopeful of an England call-up as Thomas Tuchel prepares to announce his squad today. The Three Lions boss will name his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia.
Grealish, 29, is hoping his return to first-team action at Everton will get him a spot in the German’s team for the first time.
The on-loan Manchester City winger has not featured for his country since a UEFA Nations League clash with Finland in October of last year.
But one of the reasons Grealish wanted to make a move this summer was to give himself a shot at the World Cup.
Grealish pushed to make his Everton move happen before the start of the season so he could have a chance to feature in the first England games.
He could have waited until longer in the window but he was eager to get playing straight away and made his debut in their opening weekend defeat by Leeds off the bench.
But he was excellent on his home debut as he created both goals in the 2-0 win over Brighton.
No Everton player has created more chances with six, provided more assists with two or won possession (13 times) more times than him so far according to Opta.
Tuchel is now considering bringing him back into the fold to get a closer eye on him in the upcoming internationals.

Bukayo Saka is set to miss out through injury which leaves open an attacking slot in the squad. Grealish is desperate to get his place in the squad back and become a regular again for the Three Lions.
He wants to play a big role in next summer’s World Cup. Tuchel can now select John Stones, Harry Maguire, Marc Guehi, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford, Ollie Watkins and Phil Foden as they are back fit and available.
While there's interest in seeing if Trent Alexander-Arnold is included after his move to Real Madrid.
