Leeds United transfer latest as Rangers twist emerges and Manor Solomon alternative makes…

Leeds United have less than four days to finalise their summer transfer business.

Daniel Farke's side have signed ten players so far, with Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Sean Longstaff, Lucas Perri, Anton Stach, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Ofakor and James Justin arriving through the Elland Road doors.

The club's summer spending has hit the £100 million mark but Leeds could yet splash out more. The Whites continue to be linked with several players and there could be some last-minute recruitment in West Yorkshire.

While players might arrive before the end of the window, there is expected to be a focus on outgoings with Patrick Bamford and Isaac Schmidt among those who are expected to depart the Whites.

With this in mind, LeedsLive has taken a look at the latest Leeds transfer news...

Jota latest

Nottingham Forest forward Jota Silva believes that it is better for him to return to Portugal at this stage of his career, despite reported interest from Leeds. The 26-year-old signed for Forest in a £6 million deal from Vitoria Guimaraes last summer but could be set to leave the Reds after just one season.

Jota scored four goals and provided three assists in 37 appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo's side in 2024/25, as they finished seventh and qualified for the Europa League. However, following the arrivals of Omari Hutchinson, James McAtee and Dan Ndoye, Jota is set to be pushed further down the pecking order.

Leeds have expressed an interest in signing Jota, but despite the attraction of continuing in the Premier League, the player feels it would the best for him to move back to Portugal, reports A Bola. Jota could have been an alternative to Manor Solomon, Leeds' loan hero from last season who is now not expected to sign for Farke's side this summer.

Meslier to Valencia

According to French website Foot Mercato, Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier is Valencia's priority goalkeeper target. Carlos Corberan's side saw Giorgi Mamardashvili depart for Liverpool earlier this summer and are prepared to lose Stole Dimitrievski, meaning a new 'keeper is on their agenda for the final four days of the transfer window.

Rangers are also keen to attract Meslier, as are Lorient, who have made an offer to Leeds to bring back their former player. The French shop-stopper joined the Whites in 2019 under Marcelo Bielsa but has dropped down to third-choice behind No.1 Lucas Perri and Karl Darlow since their return to the Premier League.
