Two days ago, we covered claims form Italy that Nottingham Forest will return with a new bid for Nicolò Savona, after Juventus rejected their initial offer of €11m.
On Thursday, Tuttosport reported Nottingham Forest made a second offer as their owner, Evangelos Marinakis, is keen on signing the right-back. They also indicated the Reds are optimistic of agreeing terms with Juventus.
Marinakis’ efforts to push forward with this operation have paid off as Nottingham Forest have found an agreement with the Serie A side. Their sports director, Damien Comolli, has confirmed this to Sky Italia.
Gianluca Di Marzio relays Comolli’s comments and then provide more updates on this case.
“We have reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest for Savona,” he said.
Di Marzio then cexplained Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have agreed a deal worth €15m including bonuses with the Turin club for the 22-year-old.
He adds the defender will sign a six-year contract with the Premier League club, worth €1.5m per year plus bonuses.
Another journalist, Giovanni Albanese, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that Savona will travel to England on Friday morning to join Nottingham Forest.
Savona has to finish medical examinations before signing the contract with Nottingham Forest. The fullback will carry out formalities soon and the Reds can then announce his signing.
