In February, UdineseBlog reported Wolves had made a late attempt to sign centre-back Thomas Kristensen. The approach was rejected but Aston Villa have now emerged as a suitor for the defender.
Messaggero Veneto report that there could be some late exits from the Italian side this summer.
Aston Villa are interested in the 23-year-old and this is heightening anxiety at Udinese, with another key player in Oumar Solet now of interest to AC Milan.
The outlet make it clear that while the talk around the Frenchman is due to his agents leaking information to the press amidst discussions for a new deal, that isn’t the same for Kristensen.
Udinese see Le Havre’s Etienne Kinkoue as a potential late addition for their backline and this should prove encouraging for Aston Villa in a move for the Danish defender.
Kristensen played 24 Serie A games last season and played 26 times in the 2023/24 campaign. He started the club’s Serie A opener against Hellas Verona at the weekend as well.
The 6’6 centre-back’s contract at Udinese runs out in summer 2028.
