Nottingham Forest’s heavy spending summer is set to continue ahead of the transfer deadline.
The Garibaldi have already brought eight new players to the City Ground this summer, and there are no signs of slowing down.
Nuno Espirito Santo made clear he needed full-backs and a goalkeeper, and work behind the scenes has been going on to secure those deals.
One of the full-back positions seems to be getting filled as Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal for Juventus right-back Nicolo Savona.

Reports emerging on Thursday suggested that Juventus wanted around £17 million for their young defender, but they would lower their price if a sell-on clause was included.

It now appears that this is the case for the Italian. Reports from Italy say that the deal for Savona includes a 10% sell-on.
The player is now set for his Nottingham Forest medical, and is expected to sign over the coming days.
Nicolo Savona will provide excellent cover for Ola Aina this season
Nicolo Savona will be coming in to fight for a starting role and add depth to the right-back position that Ola Aina has made his own.
In terms of his style, he is a very attacking full-back who prefers to operate in the opponents’ half, and create chances for his side.
He may need to adjust to Nuno’s more cautious style and will be more active defensively than he was in the Serie A.

Ola Aina will likely be away for the African Cup of Nations throughout the end of December and start of January.
So with four competitions on the schedule, and Aina potentially being unavailable for a short period, the Italian will have plenty of chances to try and usurp the Nigerian as part of the Nottingham Forest defence.
