[Emma Sanders](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/womens-super-league) reports that Princess Ademiluyi is possibly on the move to Gotham FC in the [NWSL](https://womenfootball.blog/national-womens-super-league-standings/). The young forward signed her first professional contract on 14 July 2024, a long-term deal that would secure a transfer fee for West Ham United if the move goes through.
Ademiluyi joined the Hammers Foundation’s Players Pathway at just 12 years old, progressing steadily through the youth ranks. In the 2022/23 season, she was one of the standout players for the U21 squad, scoring eight goals in twelve games. That same year, she earned her first senior-team appearance against Brighton & Hove Albion in May 2023. Last season, she spent the first half on loan at Charlton Athletic before being recalled to West Ham earlier than planned.
West Ham United have signed four players so far this transfer window, with the deadline closing on Thursday, 4 September at 23:00 BST. Their latest arrival is Leila Wandeler from Olympique Lyonnais. The 19-year-old forward has agreed a three-year deal with the Hammers.
Wandeler has emerged as one of Switzerland’s most exciting young prospects, making her mark at UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 on home soil. Her call-up by Pia Sundhage surprised many, given her limited international experience and that she had mainly featured for Lyon’s reserve side. But she quickly became one of the breakout stars of the tournament.
“It feels great to be signing for West Ham United. This is a big moment for me so early on in my career – to be moving to London, which is my favourite city in the world, and to play in the best league against teams with great quality.
“When I first spoke with Rehanne, she said that I will feel at home straight away. I can already see West Ham as one big family and I’m excited to be a part of it. I’m a very creative player on the pitch. I like to use my technical ability and attack one-versus-one. I’ve seen the development of the young players at the Club and they shine. I’m looking forward to learning from the players around me and giving everything to this team.”
