Arsenal are now targeting Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie. He has already caught people’s eye in Germany at the age of 23.
As per Fabrizio Romano, direct talks are currently underway between Arsenal and Leverkusen. In any event it looks like the Gunners are set to make another big move. Hincapie’s rise has been nothing short of impressive. He has played over 166 games since 2021. He is trusted on both club and international stage.
The player is still at an age where the best years are ahead of him. Arsenal have already reached an agreement with the player on personal terms. That leaves the final hurdle to be settled with the German side.
Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his defensive depth. That is especially with big UCL and EPL games. Reports suggest Arsenal want a loan deal with an option to buy. But, whether Leverkusen give the green light is still up in the air.
