THE [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) have agreed a deal with Barnet to send Ben Winterburn on loan to the League Two club.

Winterburn has often featured for the Bournemouth first team under Andoni Iraola but looks set to on a season-long deal to ensure regular game time.

He made his Cherries debut against Fulham in December 2024 and has made seven appearances in total across all competitions for Bournemouth since then.

The 20-year-old also came off the bench in the opening game of this season, away at Liverpool, as the Cherries were beaten 4-2.

But in search of more gametime, Winterburn sought a loan this summer, with Scottish Premiership and Football League clubs interested.

The midfielder now looks set to head to Barnet in League Two for the season.
