The UEFA Europa League group phase draw will take place at 12pm today and a potential reunion may happen.
Robin Olsen could play against his former club Aston Villa, since his new club Malmö FF will be participating in the competition.
Swedish newspaper [Expressen](https://www.expressen.se/sport/fotboll/allsvenskan/robin-olsen-hade-inte-gratit-om-man-far-aston-villa/) have covered comments from Olsen, in which he makes it clear he’d be happy with a return to Villa Park.
Olsen stated that it the “most important thing was to move on” from Aston Villa this summer to become a starter for his boyhood club, and there’s certainly no hard feelings.
Regarding the Europa League draw, the 35-year-old is quoted as saying: “Of course you have some old teams that you can play against. I won’t cry if we get Aston Villa, for example, who I had a fantastic time with.”
Olsen has also received messages from former teammates at Aston Villa regarding the possibility of them playing against each other in the Europa League group phase.
The goalkeeping coach has also been in touch and it’ll now be fingers crossed for everyone that the draw goes their way and a reunion can help in the coming months.
Olsen spent three seasons at Aston Villa, making 22 appearances for the club.
