Davies: The ‘City way’ has made me who I am

And she believes her experience on the international stage will stand her in good stead for senior domestic football after penning her first professional contract with City.

The promising defender made her Wales debut in April 2024 in her nation’s 6-0 win over Kosovo ahead of totalling a further six caps before sustaining an injury which unfortunately ruled her out of the European Championships.

“It’s amazing [to play for Wales]. I’d say it’s one of my proudest moments to represent my country,” she explained.

“I’m grateful for Rhian [Williams] for giving me opportunities to play against some of the top nations.

“It does help me when I come back to City to train because it’s like I’ve played against the highest level and I can also bring that back here and feel more comfortable competing here against some of the best players in the world.”
