VfB Stuttgart want to sign Brajan Gruda on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion before the end of the transfer window.
That’s [according to Sky Germany](https://sport.sky.de/transfer/news/34132/13420158/vfb-stuttgart-will-brajan-gruda-von-brighton-ausleihen), who report that Stuttgart are set to move as the departure of Nick Woltemade to Newcastle United will force them into action.
According to their information, they have their eye on Brighton’s Gruda and are currently exploring a surprise loan deal for the German U21 international.
He only moved to Brighton from Mainz in a €31.5m deal last summer but isn’t entirely satisfied with his playing time on the south coast. He’s only made two brief appearances at the start of the season, but Brighton are reportedly desperate to keep him.
If they were to sanction a departure, they would demand a very high loan fee if Gruda were to leave. There is also ‘extremely fierce’ competition from elsewhere, but Sky don’t name the other suitors.
Discussions are ongoing in the background, though, with many teams interested in him, including sides in the Bundesliga.
It appears they will have to convince Brighton into any type of deal, though, with them seemingly not keen on Gruda going at this point.
