It is not ideal to be a Dallas-native right now as they witnessed their professional teams get involved in two polarizing trades. The latest that got the internet talking, and trash talking team owners, is the shocking trade Dallas Cowboys did with the Green Bay Packers to let go of two-time Pro Bowl Micah Parsons.

Cowboys get three-time Pro Bowl Kenny Clark for this deal and two future second round picks. Jerry Jones said this move will make the team better.
Dallas fans were forced to revisit the trauma and hate they experienced in February when the Mavericks let go of their franchise player Luke Doncic. The Slovenian star was sent to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis who in his own right is also an NBA star.
Interestingly, Parsons once reacted to this trade as if he is finding it weird.

Some people on X find this development uncanny, suggesting that Dallas did not learn anything from that Doncic trade.

There’s some poor kid in Dallas that’s a huge sports fan with a Luka Mavs Jersey and a Parsons Cowboys jersey in his closet – and he’s gonna have trust issues for the rest of his life

Micah Parsons trade is Luka trade 2.0
It’s not just Dallas fans or simple observers who find this trade shocking. Even officials all around the league.
Statements gathered by CBS Sports from executives and coaches are in unison in saying that this is a bad trade for Dallas. One also compared it to the Mavericks’ situation six months ago.
“Luka trade 2.0. In-conference is crazy. Shows how much Jerry’s ego was involved,” an anonymous NFL personnel said.
“Those first-round picks aren’t worth much because Green Bay should be a playoff contender the next few years. You don’t trade a generational player, especially one who’s not a criminal and has no off-field issues. It’s malpractice.”

An AFC linebackers coach thought this made Dallas people forget about Nico Harrison.
“I’m happy for (Dallas Mavericks GM) Nico Harrison! This might be the worst trade ever! Clark is 29 and the two first rounders don’t help you until (starting) next year!”
Some deviate and say that Dallas might have just won this one.
“Two first round picks over the next 2 years, and a disruptive DT! That’s pretty damn good!” said an AFC director of player personnel.
